January 2, 2012 - uber gets it’s tusks into Walrus phase 2!

 

After completing the Review and Recommendations phase for Merseytravel’s ‘Walrus Rewards’ programme last October, uber are thrilled to be invited back to Merseyside to take the loyalty programme to the next level and prepare for a staff trial.

Using their customer loyalty expertise, uber has worked with Merseytravel to create this exciting, sophisticated smart card loyalty scheme that is similar to London’s Oyster card and encourages easy and cost effective travel for commuters in Liverpool.

In phase 2, uber will prepare everything for the launch of the Walrus rewards staff trial in April: including developing the website, ensuring the most effective CRM (customer relationship management) technology is in place and working with businesses in the region to develop customer rewards which will appeal to Merseytravels’ diverse customer base; offering every user something personal and relevant.

Speaking about the next phase, uber MD, Sarah Cross, said: ‘It’s an exciting time for both Merseytravel and uber.  Seeing the card in use in April will be great and I’m excited to hear the reaction to the innovative program rewards we’re developing.’
