Dedicated to promoting the interests of all Merseyside's travelling public, Merseytravel has a diverse customer base with very different wants and needs when it comes to their use of the trains, buses and ferries across the country.

With a brand new Smartcard system in development, Merseytravel needed a strategy for customer engagement in Walrus, their key main objectives are to:

- Track spend and useage by incentivising and rewarding customer use of the Smartcard

- Use data to drive customer engagement and customer retention within different segments

- Bring to life the quirky, Walrus brand through relevent, personalised, engaging customer rewards
